I was inspired to write a lengthy post about the stimulus package by a comment from a reader. However, as I tried to log on this morning, my site went down. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get in — not through WordPress and not through BlueHost, my hosting company. So after realizing that this was beyond my knowledge, I called customer service at BlueHost. I was number 54 in line…which made me realize that some big, humongous problem was afoot. After 10 minutes, I was 44th in line to speak to an agent, so I went for the online chat option instead. Again, after about 5 minutes, an agent came online to let me know there was a major server outage. About 10 minutes later, my site came back online. The cold sweat subsided, but so did my passion for the post. Still planning on writing, but not til tomorrow. I’m just thrilled I didn’t lose 5 years of blog posts today.
